Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, James built his life with his own hands—literally. As a general contractor by trade, he understands the value of hard work, personal responsibility, and creating something lasting from the ground up. But his path wasn’t without struggle. James spent time in federal prison, an experience that exposed him to the harsh realities of a broken system and the communities it leaves behind.

Upon his release, James didn’t retreat—he rebuilt. He started a small business, proving that redemption isn’t just possible, it’s powerful. He then founded Color of Conservatism, a national initiative focused on empowering at-risk youth and reconstructing African American communities devastated by decades of failed liberal policies.

Through mentorship, education, and unapologetic advocacy, James has helped young people find purpose, families find hope, and neighborhoods find strength. His work is rooted in conservative principles: faith, freedom, family, and economic opportunity. He believes that real change doesn’t come from government handouts—it comes from unleashing the potential within every individual.

Now, James is running for Congress to bring that same grit, vision, and conviction to Washington. He’s fighting for:
